The 2007 North Central York Rite Conference will be at the Day's Inn on October 26-28, 2007. Their telephone number is (651) 770-2811. Room rates for the North Central York Rite Conference are $70.00 plus tax per night. These reservations must be made by October 1, 2007 to obtain this price. After that date the price is $89.00 per night. Meals and accommodation information are at the end of this letter.
On Friday, the hospitality room will be the site of fellowship, with plenty of refreshments and conversation. On Saturday morning, after a period of introductions, the Conference will split into the Grand Commandery and the Grand Council/Grand Chapter sessions. Specific details of the Grand Commandery session are not available at the time this article is written. The two presentations, sponsored by the General Grand Council will be:
a) James V. Acker, the Grand Principal Conductor of the Work of the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of North Dakota will present the story of the early York Rite Development and early Masonry in North Dakota. He has an avid interest in the history of the Craft in the pioneer days in the Dakotas. The challenges of our forefathers and how they met them provides us with examples and inspiration to meet the needs of the future.'
b) Terry N. Tilton, Past Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Minnesota, AF&AM, and the leading Masonic scholar in Minnesota will speak on religious freedom and Masonry. With our emphasis in the York Rite on the role of faith in our lives, it is necessary that we be aware of the freedoms that we promote. This presentation will be both timely and informative.

The two presentations, sponsored by the General Grand chapter will be:
a) Bruce T. Anderson, PGHP and Recorder for Grand York Rite of Nebraska will speak on: What, me a High Priest? Now what do I do. I hope 'that no high priest in your jurisdiction has that question. Dais Officers need to be prepared to take off running when they are installed as High Priest.
We will look at the aspects of running a Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, planning, membership etc; and the activities and duties of other officers of the chapter.
We will also-take look of how ritual is done in different ways to confer the degrees
b) Ken Dingman, will be talking about having kids finger printed and DNA saved for identification.
On Saturday afternoon, the Conference will split into separate Grand Council and Grand Chapter sessions. Each of the participating Grand Chapters and Grand Councils are invited to share with their counterparts significant events that are occurring within their jurisdictions. From traveling within the region, each Grand Council and Grand Chapter has an accomplishment that can be shared with the larger group. This will enable each person to provide more effective leadership to the body whom he serves. Also, events and programs of the General Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons International and the General Grand Council of Cryptic Masons International will be discussed.
